Dan Cathell brings nearly 20 years of domestic and international strategic experience across multiple industries, including more than $15 billion in total transaction value (M&A, IPO, debt restructuring) as well as the development of strategic finance and operational plans for multinational corporations in the construction, retail, manufacturing and oil and gas industries. For the past ten years, Dan has successfully led private equity owned organizations as both CFO and CEO. Dan holds an MBA from the University of Maryland School of Business. He is proud to serve on the board of Casey Cares and is a member of the Young President’s Organization. He lives outside Annapolis, MD with his wife and three children.

Prior to joining Grant Point Group, Dennis Buck was a Managing Director with a respected middle market mergers and acquisitions firm where he helped owners of small and mid-sized businesses navigate the M&A process. For much of his career, Dennis worked with public and private equity owned companies to acquire smaller, privately-owned businesses, including the corporate development side of several publicly owned healthcare companies including Henry Schein, Inc., Martek Biosciences Corp., and Omnicare, Inc. He has lent his expertise as an advisor for several privately-owned firms, providing strategy, valuation, and accounting services. Dennis holds a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and lives in Baltimore, MD.

Evan Wechsler
Managing Director

With more than twenty years’ experience in investment banking, financial and transactional consulting, and middle market mergers and acquisitions, Evan Wechsler brings a breadth of knowledge to his role as Managing Director of Grant Point Group. After honing his expertise at Morgan Stanley and in private equity, Evan held multiple C-level roles before being named as Chief Executive Officer of a middle market company with multiple locations throughout the mid-Atlantic. He has substantial experience in all phases of middle market M&A transactions, with unique experience in restructuring and workouts. As CEO of his previous company, Evan was involved in several roll-up acquisitions as well as an eventual sale of the entity.
Evan received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Business School and a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University with Honors. Evan is a member of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Young President’s Organization. He lives in Chevy Chase, Md. with his wife, three children and yellow lab.
